This situation has been happened since years ago. But many people didnt understand the meaning of it. Acid rain is rain or any other form of percipitationthat is unusually acidic. It has harmful effects on plants, aquatic animals, and infrastructure.
It mostly caused by human emission of sulfur and nitrogen coumpounds which react in the atmosphere to produce acids. The acids in acid rain react chemically with any object they contact. Acids are corrosive chemicals that react with other chemicals by giving up hydrogen atoms.
The effect in soil, acid rain dissolves and washes a way nutrients neede by plants. It can also dissolve toxic substance, such as alumunium and mercury. For the plants, acid rain slows the growth of plants, especially trees. It also attacks trees more directly by making holes in the waxy coating of leaves and causing brown spots. Furthermore, the brown spots can make the trees dead.
Acid rain can best be curtailed by reducing the amount of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides released by power plants, motorized vehicles, and factories. The simple way to cut these emissions is to use less energy from fossil fuels.
In conclusion, we must to reduce fossil fuels for our daily needed.
